Tungchou “Joe” Tu

Narrative cinematographer and 2026 Chapman University MFA graduate with a story-first approach to lighting and camera.

Across short films, commercials and documentaries, I pair the technical craft of a cinematographer with a director’s instinct for story. Alongside my cinematography work, I direct and shoot documentary projects drawn to character-driven, real-world stories.
